Registration for 2013 for 2012 members took place on Wednesday the 9th January. With reduced availability of coaches and leders for 2013, we have to control the number of athletes this year so we have sufficient adult cover on training nights.
Trainign will be on Wednesday at 6pm and 7pm. We are stopping the Friday 6pm session for the Little'uns (i.e. under 6) and combining them with the 6pm session on a Wednesday.
If anyone is interested in becoming a leader or coach let one of the committee or coaches know. It would be a great help and allow us to develop the club activities further.
North Roscommon Athletics Club, based in Boyle with members from Under 6 to adult level.

Connaught Track & Field 2012
Congratulations to Ruth Cox who won the U13 Long Jump at Connaught Track & Field Championships in Dangan, Galway last weekend. Her winning jump was 4.08 metres
We had a number of athletes (Adam Simon, Aoife Valentine, James Bolger, Sinead Glennon) who performed well in the Long Jump on the day. We can expect great things from these club athletes and others in the coming years especially with the recent opening of our Long Jump at the Abbey Community College. A great addition to our club.
Congratulations to Roisin Wynne who a bronze medal in the U14, 75m High Hurdles in a time of 14.27s. Roisin also won a bronze in the U14 Long Jump with a jump of 4.36 metres.

Report on the National Cross Country event in the Forest Park
Nice write up by Martin Wynne.
http://www.roscommonherald.ie/news/kfcwsneykf/
Thanks to all the club members who helped make this a great success. Damian Regan did a mountain of work in this as did many others including Majella, Damian Regan (the other 1), Enda Madden, Padraig Casey, Gary Sheerin, Maureen O'Connor, Concepta Regan, Alan Deane, Sarah Neary, Jackie Valentine. We had so much help from family members of club members to which we are very grateful.
Local clubs, organisations and societies, the Forest Park personnel were generous with the time they gave with the preparation, stewarding and tidy up, we can be sure that the volunteer spirit is alive and well in Boyle.
Many thanks to all. Let's hope the area benefits from this successful event.
Thanks again
Tom
